AACR 2022: Stand Up to Cancer, Standing up to Treatment

At the AACR 2022 Annual Meeting, a session titled “Optimizing Cell-based Therapies for Clinical Impact,’ an open scientific session, was hosted by Raymond DuBois, the Dean of the College of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. Researchers discussed advancements in optimizing cell-based therapies for various cancers. The theme of the research presented by the 4 groups was the increasing specificity with which therapies are able to target cancer cells and the current problems with broad solutions such as chemotherapy and radiation.
