Affirm and CPP Investments Expand Capital Partnership to $500 Million
Affirm and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) have renewed and expanded their existing capital partnership, increasing the total funding commitment to $500 million. This agreement extends the relationship between the two organizations, providing Affirm with additional capital to support its buy-now, pay-later lending operations.
The expanded agreement builds upon a previous arrangement established in 2021. Under the terms of the new deal, CPP Investments will continue to purchase loans originated through the Affirm platform. This capital infusion allows Affirm to maintain its lending capacity as it processes consumer transactions. Both parties finalized the agreement on June 4, 2026, marking a continuation of the financial collaboration between the fintech company and the institutional investor.
