Researchers from the Else Kröner Fresenius Center for Digital Health at TUD Dresden University of Technology, working alongside collaborators in Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States, have developed an autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) agent designed to assist clinical decision-making in oncology. The team has successfully validated the system’s capabilities, marking a significant step forward in integrating AI into medical practice.

The AI agent was created with the goal of supporting healthcare professionals by analyzing complex data and providing insights relevant to cancer diagnosis and treatment planning. The research involved extensive collaboration across multiple institutions to ensure the system’s reliability and effectiveness. Validation tests confirmed that the AI agent can operate autonomously while maintaining accuracy in its recommendations. This development highlights ongoing efforts to leverage technology in improving patient care within oncology settings.
