Box Expands Data Residency Service to Australia, Singapore, and Brazil
Cloud content management company Box announced on Tuesday the expansion of its “Box Zones” service into three new geographic regions. The company now offers data residency capabilities in Australia, Singapore, and Brazil, allowing global organizations to store their data locally within these specific jurisdictions.
This expansion aims to assist multinational companies in meeting regional data sovereignty requirements and internal governance policies. By adding these three locations, Box increases its global footprint for data residency to 14 regions, including existing sites in the United States, Canada, the European Union, Japan, and the United Kingdom. The service allows customers to maintain control over where their content resides while utilizing the company’s cloud-based collaboration and security tools.
