Drug Channels Institute Launches Six eLearning Modules on Pharmaceutical Economics
Drug Channels Institute (DCI) has launched a suite of six eLearning modules designed to provide pharmaceutical professionals with insights into the economic forces shaping the industry. These interactive courses cover topics ranging from drug distribution and reimbursement to the roles of pharmacies, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), and wholesalers. The modules, each lasting 45 minutes or less, aim to deliver up-to-date training on complex industry dynamics. The DCI eLearning Modules are designed for pharmaceutical professionals looking to enhance their understanding of the industry. The modules are available via a site-wide license for organizations to integrate into their internal learning platforms, or through DCI’s hosted environment. Individual licenses are not currently offered. The modules address key areas within the pharmaceutical landscape, including the financial and product flows within the distribution and reimbursement channels. They also delve into the economics of retail, mail, and specialty pharmacies, highlighting revenue generation, cost management, and reimbursement dynamics. Furthermore, the courses examine the business of specialty pharmacy, the economics of provider-administered specialty drugs, and the operations of pharmacy benefit managers and pharmaceutical wholesalers. Each module features interactive graphics and expert narration, as well as references to DCI reports for further study.
