Drug Channels Institute Offers Six Online Modules on Pharmaceutical Economics

Drug Channels Institute (DCI) is offering a suite of six online learning modules designed to provide pharmaceutical professionals with insights into the economic forces shaping the industry. The modules cover key areas such as drug distribution, reimbursement, and pricing, aiming to enhance understanding of the complex relationships within the pharmaceutical value chain. These courses are designed for various professionals, including sales teams, market access groups, and those seeking a broader understanding of pharmaceutical economics. Each DCI eLearning module is approximately 45 minutes long and features interactive graphics, expert narration, and references to DCI reports for further research. The modules cover a range of topics, including financial and product flows in pharmaceutical distribution, the economics of different pharmacy channels (retail, mail, and specialty), the business of specialty pharmacy and provider-administered specialty drugs, the operations of Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), and the business strategies of pharmaceutical wholesalers. The modules are available via site-wide licenses for organizations, with options for access through internal learning platforms or DCI’s hosted environment. DCI offers a sample module for preview upon request.
