ECARX Holdings Inc. announced on Monday that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the entire Flyme Auto software business from Meizu Technology. This transaction integrates the Flyme Auto operating system and its associated software development team into ECARX’s existing automotive technology portfolio, providing the company with full end-to-end control over its vehicle operating system capabilities.

The acquisition transfers all intellectual property, research and development assets, and the engineering workforce associated with the Flyme Auto platform to ECARX. By bringing these operations in-house, ECARX aims to streamline the development of its digital cockpit and smart mobility solutions. The company expects the integration to facilitate faster software deployment and deeper customization for its automotive manufacturing partners. Both parties have finalized the terms of the agreement, and the transition of the software business is currently underway.
