Enthusiast Gaming Receives Management Cease Trade Order from OSC Due to Delayed 2025 Financial Filings
Enthusiast Gaming Holdings Inc. announced that it has received a Management Cease Trade Order (MCTO) from the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC). The MCTO restricts certain company executives from trading in securities of the company until specific financial filings are completed and disclosed. This development follows Enthusiast Gaming’s earlier notification that it would not meet the deadline for filing its audited annual financial statements, accompanying management’s discussion and analysis, and related certifications for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025.
The company attributed the delay to unforeseen circumstances requiring additional time to finalize its financial reporting processes. While the MCTO applies only to designated officers and directors, regular trading activity for other shareholders remains unaffected. Enthusiast Gaming stated that it is working diligently with its auditors to complete the required filings as soon as possible and expects to provide updates on progress in due course. The OSC issued the MCTO under National Policy 12-203, which allows companies experiencing delays in meeting filing deadlines to continue operations while addressing compliance issues.
