Research indicates a potential link between elevated levels of certain micronutrients during pregnancy and reduced blood pressure in midlife. The study found that higher levels of vitamin B12, copper, and manganese in pregnant individuals correlate with lower blood pressure and a decreased risk of hypertension later in life. Specifically, the research observed that participants who had higher levels of vitamin B12, copper, and manganese during their pregnancies subsequently exhibited lower blood pressure readings in midlife. Furthermore, these individuals also demonstrated a reduced likelihood of developing hypertension, according to the research findings.
