On February 9, 2026, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) introduced the FTSE® South Korea RIC Capped Index Futures. The new futures contract aims to provide market participants with a tool to manage risk and gain exposure to the South Korean equity market. This launch marks an expansion of ICE’s offerings in global index derivatives.

The FTSE® South Korea RIC Capped Index Futures is based on the FTSE South Korea RIC Capped Index, which tracks the performance of large and mid-cap companies listed in South Korea while applying a capping methodology to ensure diversification. ICE stated that this product is designed for institutional investors seeking efficient access to the South Korean market through a regulated exchange platform. The introduction of this futures contract aligns with growing demand for risk management tools tied to emerging markets in Asia.
