NEWSFLASH

Researchers at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden have created a new technique for delivering therapeutic proteins and RNA to cells. The method demonstrates the ability to transport gene editors and protein therapeutics in animal studies, according to a report published in *Nature Communications*. The technique utilizes extracellular vesicles (EVs), which are small bubbles cells naturally secrete. These EVs function as transporters, moving biologically active molecules from one cell to another. The study indicated that by using these EVs, researchers could efficiently deliver therapeutic proteins and RNA to targeted cells in animal models.
