Kingstone Insurance Company has announced a partnership with ZestyAI, an artificial intelligence-based property risk analytics firm, to enhance wildfire risk assessment capabilities as part of its planned entry into the California insurance market. The collaboration aims to leverage advanced AI technology to better evaluate and manage wildfire-related risks in a state that has seen increasingly severe fire seasons in recent years.

ZestyAI specializes in using machine learning algorithms to analyze property-level data, including vegetation density, building materials, and topography, among other factors. This approach provides insurers with detailed insights into wildfire exposure for individual properties. Kingstone plans to integrate ZestyAI’s analytics into its underwriting process as it prepares to expand operations into California, where accurate wildfire risk modeling is critical due to the frequency and intensity of wildfires across the region.
