Learning From the COVID-19 Pandemic With Moderna CEO, Stéphane Bancel

Over two years into the COVID-19 pandemic, the world has experienced and learned so much about viruses, epidemic response, vaccine technology, and everything else that comes along with living through a global epidemic. At the Future of Everything Festival, Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel sits down and recounts some valuable lessons the pharmaceutical giant has learned over this time and highlights some hopeful prospects for the future after the pandemic. 

 

Where COVID May Be Heading

 

Over 6 million people worldwide have died due to COVID-19 since it began in late 2019. However, the dominant variant, Omicron, is less dangerous than its predecessors. Though much more virulent, Omicron shows milder symptoms across the board and, compared to Alpha and Delta, is showing signs it may be the light at the end of the tunnel.
