May 11, 2012: Global ELSI 2.0 Launched Officially
ELSI 2.0 (Ethical, Legal, and Social Implications 2.0) is a genomic platform launched as a collaborative concept in Science journal (Vol. 336 no. 6082 pp. 673-674) on May 11, 2012. The aim of ELSI 2.0 is to catalyze an international collaboratory to solve ethical, legal, and scientific challenges in the field of genomics. With members from all over the world, ELSI 2.0 is operated to make the existing ELSI research more effective, efficient, and economical.
