Omega Flex Redesigns TracPipe CounterStrike Fittings to Reduce Installation Time and Effort

Omega Flex announced on Wednesday that it has redesigned its flexible gas piping fittings to improve the installation process for contractors. The updated components aim to simplify the connection method for the company’s TracPipe CounterStrike piping system, focusing on reducing the time and physical effort required during assembly.

The new fitting design features a modified nut and adapter configuration that allows installers to secure the connection with fewer rotations. Engineers adjusted the internal geometry of the fitting to ensure a consistent seal while minimizing the torque necessary to achieve a gas-tight fit. These changes apply to the company’s existing line of flexible stainless steel tubing, which is used in residential and commercial gas distribution. The company stated that the updated fittings remain compatible with all previous versions of its piping products, allowing contractors to integrate the new components into existing infrastructure projects without requiring additional specialized tools.
