Reconnaissance Energy Africa (ReconAfrica) began production testing at its Kavango West 1X discovery well on Monday, June 8, 2026. This phase of operations aims to evaluate the flow potential and reservoir characteristics of the site located in Namibia.

The company initiated the testing process following the completion of drilling and initial logging activities at the Kavango West 1X location. Technical teams are currently monitoring pressure data and fluid samples to determine the commercial viability of the discovery. ReconAfrica expects to release the results of these tests once the data analysis concludes, providing further insight into the geological features of the region.
