Seneca Resources and Evolution Well Services Sign Three-Year Electric Fracturing Agreement
Seneca Resources and Evolution Well Services have entered into a three-year strategic agreement to provide hydraulic fracturing services across the Appalachian Basin. The partnership focuses on the deployment of electric-powered fracturing fleets to support Seneca Resources’ natural gas production operations in the region.
Under the terms of the agreement, Evolution Well Services will supply its proprietary electric fracturing technology to Seneca Resources’ well sites. This technology utilizes natural gas-powered turbines to generate electricity, replacing traditional diesel-powered equipment. The companies intend for this transition to reduce operational emissions and lower fuel costs throughout the three-year contract period. Seneca Resources, the exploration and production division of National Fuel Gas Company, will integrate these electric fleets into its existing drilling and completion programs to manage its Appalachian assets.
