The Evolution of Cytokine Therapies for a Broad Spectrum of Disorders

Cytokines are cell-signaling proteins that regulate growth, development, and immune response across all cell types. A strong cytokine cascade induced by inflammation has been associated with many disorders and significantly hampers drug response.

Over the last two decades, controlling the cytokine storm has enabled the development of effective therapies against many diseases. Cytokine therapies have developed effective solutions for cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, autoimmune disorders, and more recently, COVID-19.
