A top U.S. attorney recently sent inquiries to at least two scientific journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), regarding allegations of bias. These letters request the journals to address the concerns raised. Last week, at least one scientific publication confirmed receipt of a letter from a U.S. attorney. Subsequently, NEJM also acknowledged receiving a similar inquiry. The letters specifically ask the journals to respond to accusations of bias in their published content.
