A recent webinar held on June 29, 2023, addressed the growing challenges and opportunities for scaling digital health solutions within the pharmaceutical industry. The event, titled “Realise Global Scale for Your Digital Health Solution,” focused on overcoming barriers to access and creating a framework for large-scale commercialization of digital health initiatives. The discussion highlighted critical issues such as regulatory uncertainty, market access ambiguity, and infrastructural bottlenecks that have hindered widespread adoption of digital health technologies.

The webinar emphasized the need for collaboration across local, national, and international levels to achieve scalability. Key topics included developing blueprints for scaling pilot programs to demonstrate return on investment (ROI), fostering cross-regional engagement with patients and healthcare professionals (HCPs), co-creating frameworks with policymakers and payers to expand patient access, and embedding interoperability into commercial strategies to address infrastructure challenges. Participants explored strategies aimed at amplifying patient and HCP voices through innovative customer engagement plans while leveraging IT skillsets outside traditional pharma expertise.

The event was part of the broader Pharma Digital Health Europe 2023 initiative and provided insights into how pharmaceutical companies can align their efforts with the ongoing digital transformation in healthcare. A recording of the webinar is available online for those interested in exploring these discussions further.
