Wiley released the 2026 editions of the NIST/EPA/NIH Electron Ionization (EI) Mass Spectral Library and the NIST MS/MS Spectral Library this week. These updated databases provide the analytical chemistry community with expanded spectral data and are available in multiple instrument-ready formats to support mass spectrometry analysis.

The new editions incorporate decades of data refinement and database augmentation to increase the breadth of the existing collections. Wiley developed these libraries using the expertise of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The release aims to provide researchers with updated reference materials for identifying chemical compounds through mass spectrometry.
