China Gives Conditional Approval to Pfizer’s Covid-19 Oral Antiviral

China’s medical products regulator has given conditional approval to Pfizer’s Covid-19 oral antiviral. The Chinese nod makes Paxlovid the first approved coronavirus oral pill in the country. Pfizer may have beaten local competition to get the first approval for an oral Covid-19 antiviral in China, but Chinese companies are working hard to get a slice of the market.
