Compensating for OxyContin: The Harm from Pharma

The United States has seen 500,000 deaths from opioid overdoses in the two decades from 1999 to 2019 according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Of these deaths a larger percentage have come from commonly prescribed opioids than heroin until the year 2018.
