May 16, 2014: Draft Sequence of the Radish Genome Published

A draft sequences of the radish (Raphanus sativus L.) genome was published on the DNA Research journal on May 16, 2014. The genome sequence radish was estimated to contain 61,572 genes which amount is far more than the numbers of genes in human or many other organisms.
