As Regenerative Medicine Grows in Japan, Challenges Remain

On November 11, 2021, a global conference on “The Clinical Development and Integration Strategies of Key Manufacturing Process of Regenerative Medicine in Japan” was held. Hosted by the Foundation of Medical Professionals Alliance in Taiwan, the event invited Japanese scholars to share and discuss trends and changes in Japan’s regenerative medicine industry and technology.  

Hideyuki Okano, a professor in the Department of Medicine at Keio University and the chairman of the Japan Society for Regenerative Medicine (JSRM), introduced his lab’s work in regenerative medicine and iPS cell therapy.
