GHG Emissions as a ESG Metric

One of the criteria for measuring the success of environmental sustainability measures is greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. It is increasingly an important non-financial indicator for conscious investors. Businesses and federal institutions have evolved methods to measure and manage GHG emissions.

Since GHG is a direct measure of global economic activity and the biggest driver of climate change, countries have accumulated data of GHG emissions over time, in different sectors and the effect of climate change.
