HHS To Test Three New Models to Lower Drug Prices

Expanding on President Biden’s Executive Order, “Lowering Prescription Drug Costs for Americans,” the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced a plan to test three new models to lower drug costs in the U.S. The models include $2 generic drugs, better access to cell and gene therapies, and developing new payment models for drugs granted accelerated approval.
