The event is to be held from Nov 29 – 30, 2018 at the Grande Luxe Banquet, Taipei, Taiwan.

The second day of MEDTEX 2018 boasts of two sessions, a morning session that covers expert panel discussions on state-of-the-art technologies in health security systems followed by lunch and a post lunch session on Global healthcare innovation strategy.

The following are some of the major highlights on the second day of the conference.

1) The inaugural panel discussion would focus on the rapidly growing technology of Blockchain and Electronic Health Security in Healthcare. Moderated by Yuan Yao, Chief Data Scientist at PwC, the discussion includes Mohammed Tayeb (Medicalchain), Alexandra Tinsman (NEM Foundation) and Emma Hossack (Extensia) as speakers.

The second panel discussion is on the topic of “Designing an Intelligent Healthcare Ecosystem. It is moderated by Ted Chang, CTO of Quanta Computer. Panel speakers Keren Priyadarshini (Microsoft), David Hansen (CSIRO), Vitaly Herasevich (Mayo Clinic) and Daniel Tse (Google AI) will grace us with their insights.

2) The Luncheon will witness the Highlights on Singapore Biotechnology Ecosystem and Innovation. Yan-Lin Lye of Cambridge consultants will participate and moderate the discussion that also includes Whye-Kei Lye (Nanyang Technological University), Johnson Chen (CapBridge/ClearBridge) and Hsien-Hui Tong (SGInnovate).

3) Dr. Pan-Chyr Yang, VP of IBMI will deliver the opening remarks of the third and final session of Med x Tech Summit Asia 2018. This session is one of the key features of the event where panel discussions will be held on the topic of Global Healthcare Innovation Strategy. Major highlights of the Bioinnovation stadium include discussions from Markus Kalousek from Novartis and Yong-Hui Shi from Medtronic China Venture Fund. Their discussions are expected to provide valuable inputs on how to build healthcare innovation cluster and startup strategy and how potential candidates are evaluated. Another main attraction is the talk by Karin Mayer Rubinstein who will share with us, their latest technology from Israel Advanced Technology Industries (IATI). Besides, countries like Australia, USA, and UK will address their own unique biotechnology ecosystems. The event will be concluded with the awarding ceremony of National Innovation Award 2018.
