November 16, 1941: American Molecular Biologist Harvey Lodish was Born

Harvey F. Lodish (November 16, 1941 – present) is an American molecular and cell biologist and professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Through out his academic career, Lodish has contributed significantly in the fields of erythropoiesis, lipid, and metabolism in cell level. He is the lead author of the textbook Molecular Cell Biology, currently published the 8th edition, which is an essential reading material for genetic researchers.
