Single Cell Sequencing Uncovers How Early Embryonic Cells Differentiate
The research team has proposed a single-cell sequencing technology known as EpiDamID, which is based on DamID (DNA adenine methyltransferase identification), a set of tools for identifying adenine sites on DNA, a molecular marker prone to methylation modifications. To further identify post-transcriptional modification sites in individual cells, they have extended the existing DamID functions, improving it to become EpiDamID, a sequencing tool that identifies histones performing post-transcriptional modifications.
