Chiral molecules have long been used in drug design. However, a recent study from scientists at Jiangnan University in China and the University of Michigan revealed chirality (handedness) plays an important role in how immune cells respond to nanoparticles. The study offers an important observation that could aid in the development of better therapeutics.
