Scientists Jointly Urge FDA to Evaluate T-Cell Response in Review of COVID-19 Vaccines

More than 60 scientists have signed a letter to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), requesting that in addition to measuring antibodies after vaccination, the agency should also focus on measuring T-cell responses to help make more accurate, long-term assessments of vaccine effectiveness and to make effective preventive decisions before new mutations of SARS-CoV-2 occur.
