The Wall Street Journal's Future of Health event hosted the panel Finding a Cure for HIV on September 14. At the event, Dr. Sharon Lewin, president of the International AIDS Society and director of the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity, discussed how stem cells and gene therapies might be the key to a widespread HIV cure. In addition, Dr. Lewin discussed how the research and development of treatments during the COVID-19 pandemic bolstered efforts for an HIV Cure.
