May 3, 2009: Using Transposon to Transfer Genes in Vertebrate
The German research team successfully performed gene transfer via transposon in vertebrate cells, opening the possibility of replacing virus by stable transposon as the gene vector for gene engineering. The research was published in Nature Genetics on May 3, 2009, and greatly influenced the development in gene therapy technologies.
